HE IS THE ONLY PHOTOGRAPHER I HAVE EVER KNOWN WHO COULD LOOK AT A BLACK AND WHITE AND TELL YOU WHAT THE COLORS WERE. When I was in Grade Seven I lived with his family for a year; when I turned seventeen he gave me my first 35mm camera.
